Be aware, however, that it won�t be easy to transfer into some fields without experience. At area manager level, for instance, they will expect you to hit the ground running and know your market inside and out.

Non-technical sales manager jobs tend to pay �35,000-�45,000 plus bonus and perks. Take note that greater skills and knowledge don�t always convert into a higher base salary.
