At RS Components, we’re changing our focus from the product to the customer. As a Key Account Manager, you’ll be in the forefront of that change, and we’ll give you all the training and support you need to help us make it happen.

You’ll work closely with field sales teams to manage a defined portfolio of corporate customer accounts, making sure we meet and then exceed sales requirements. It’s a unique sales role that offers opportunities to grow and develop, plus the chance to drive a shift to the entire focus of the company.

As a Key Account Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • An HNC / HND level of education or equivalent experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A strong knowledge of MS Office packages, particularly Excel
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness
  • A proven track record in successful sales negotiations

As a Key Account Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Gathering and recording relevant customer data on an ongoing basis
  • Taking ownership of accounts and actively driving business by solving customer supply chain challenges
  • Making commercially aware decisions regarding sales opportunities
  • Using current and potential account performance to prioritise activity
  • Being adaptable to the evolving needs of customers

What we will be looking for in you:

We’d like to see a working knowledge of SAP or a comparable CRM solution, as well as an understanding of our products and services and those of our competitors. You’ll also need the ability to adapt and respond to changes in business priorities and market dynamics, as well as the skills necessary to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the business.
