National Sales Manager – Diabetes – Medical Devices

The role focuses on leading, motivating and developing a national team of 6 territory managers and 2 clinical support staff to grow revenue and GP in the pump and meter markets, ensuring sales initiatives are thoroughly executed and sales objectives met. This would involve developing a high level of understanding and trust with major customers throughout the UK.
At the same time the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the UK General Manager and representatives, together with other relevant departments to achieve sales growth in the large accounts.
These activities will be underpinned by developing and implementing ambitious strategies for existing and for new team members.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Evidence of success achieved through National Sales Management experience.
- Commercially astute.
- Strong understanding of trends and developments within the healthcare industry.
- Excellent communications skills – written and oral.
- Self confident people person and skilled in developing relationships.
- Independent, self starter and highly motivated.
- Minimum of 5 years experience selling medical devices at national level.
- Educated to a Degree or equivalent level
- Clinically knowledgeable and technically strong in the field of electrophysiology would be an advantage
- Successful medical device sales management experience would be considered.
